Moving Forward

Mary Rutan Therapy & Sports Medicine offers a group program for people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions.

Our program is led by licensed therapists in physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation. It is a support group that offers a spirit of friendship and community while working on:

  • Balance
  • Strength
  • Cognitive Skills
  • Endurance
  • Voice Projection
  • And More!

The program is designed to retrain the mind and body. Participants have reported improvements in quality of life, regained ability to successfully manage aspects of their disease, and extended independence.

  • Suzanne Beach, CCC-SLP

Together, your team of instructors have more than 50 years of experience in the therapy field and will adapt the program to meet each participant’s level of ability. This program specifically targets daily functional challenges and symptom-specific movement.

The program is comprised of 12 exercise classes that include a screening consultation on the first and last class.

The cost is $80 per 12-class session. Payments should be made in full at the first class.

Notes for the Class

  • All Moving Forward classes are held at the Mary Rutan Health Center, located at 1134 N. Main St., Bellefontaine.
  • Park on the right side of the building and enter through the sliding glass doors.
  • The therapists will meet you in the first-floor lobby.
  • Please wear comfortable clothing and supportive shoes.
