Mary Rutan Urology Expands Provider Team, Services in Bellefontaine, Kenton and Indian Lake
BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio — Mary Rutan Urology is expanding its provider team and services in Bellefontaine and Kenton, and beginning in January, at the new Indian Lake Health Center.
Joining the established Bellefontaine practice, led by Dr. Roger Amigo, is Dr. Omar Khan, an experienced urologist born and raised in Toledo. Khan completed his medical degree and residency at the University of Toledo and has practiced in the Toledo region for several years. He has held multiple leadership roles throughout his career and has a strong interest in teaching and advancing clinical practice. His areas of focus include minimally invasive surgery, BPH/voiding dysfunction, kidney stones, advanced prostate cancer, rural healthcare delivery and improving access to care.
Mary Rutan Urology is also expanding access through the addition of two nurse practitioners: Holly Borchers Ellinger, CNP, and Alexandria Swaney, CNP.
Borchers Ellinger earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wright State University in 2010 and became an acute care nurse practitioner. She has more than 20 years of medical experience, including over five years in a hospitalist program and additional expertise in intensive care and rapid response. She brings extensive clinical knowledge and a patient-centered approach to her role at Mary Rutan Urology.
Swaney returns to Mary Rutan Health after previously serving patients at Mary Rutan Urgent Care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2023 from Chamberlain University and has experience as an emergency department nurse and family nurse practitioner. She now brings her expertise to urologic care.
