Mary Rutan Health Welcomes Podiatrist Dr. Emily Edwards
Mary Rutan Health is proud to announce the addition of Emily Edwards, DPM, to our growing network of physicians this August. She will work alongside Dr. Eric Anderson at Mary Rutan Podiatry, where she will provide comprehensive foot and ankle medicine services. Dr. Edwards commented, “I am thrilled to join the expanding team of Mary Rutan Health physicians this summer. As a small-town Ohio native, I am passionate about providing exceptional, accessible healthcare to those in rural communities. Having spent the last three years in Lima completing my podiatry residency, I’m excited to stay in the area and continue to serve the west-central Ohio community.”
Dr. Emily Edwards is a Northeast Ohio Native and attended Cleveland State University, where she was Valedictorian of the College of Sciences & Health Professions, as well as Summa Cum Laude from the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Honors College. Dr. Edwards earned two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science in 2017. She then chose to pursue a degree in Podiatric Medicine, and in 2021, she earned her medical degree (DPM) from the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Edwards completed her three-year surgical residency in Lima, Ohio, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, where she trained in a multitude of forefoot and rearfoot procedures, as well as wound care.
