Biography

Dr. William Houser is a distinguished Mary Rutan Heart & Vascular Clinic cardiologist. Renowned for his internal medicine and cardiology clinical expertise, Dr. Houser has years of experience in a broad range of clinical heart & vascular settings. Dr. Houser’s cardiology journey began when he attended medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he graduated with his medical doctor degree in 1991. From here, his passion for medicine drove him toward a year-long internship and a two-year internal medicine residency at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. After his studies in Columbus, Ohio, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Since his residency, Dr. Houser has dedicated his career to assisting those with heart disease or chronic heart conditions in Ohio in achieving the best possible quality of life through personal care, education, medication management and treatment. Dr. Houser's patient-centered approach ensures that each patient's unique needs and concerns are addressed, fostering a sense of trust and comfort. He has also focused his talents on academia, where he has often been involved in mentoring and research projects through faculty positions at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he educated countless students and prepared them for careers in medicine. Dr. Houser is board-certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He now provides top-notch care to his patients in Bellefontaine, Ohio, ensuring each patient receives compassionate, personalized cardiology care.
