Biography

Dr. Richard Nedelman is a Springfield, Ohio, native and a local, board-certified general surgeon providing experienced, comprehensive general surgery care to his patients in Bellefontaine and Urbana. Dr. Nedelman received his bachelor’s degree in biology from The Ohio State University and later attended the University of Cincinnati, where he received his medical doctorate. He then completed his internship and surgical residency at the University of Cincinnati. In his time as a general surgeon, Dr. Nedelman has treated benign and malignant breast disease, dialysis access procedures, laparoscopic procedures, and an extensive array of general surgery procedures. Dr. Nedelman has a rich history as Chief of Surgery and President of Medical staff at a local health system. He now provides state-of-the-art, compassionate care to each of his patients at Mary Rutan Health. In his downtime, he enjoys traveling and golf.
