Biography

A Logan County Native, Mindy grew up in Bellefontaine and has resided in the Rushsylvania area for the past 16 years with her family. Mindy graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1999 and eventually decided that she wanted to join the medical field. She attended Clark State Community College for her associate’s degree in nursing, which she received in 2010. Deciding that she had a passion for nursing, she returned to school for a bachelor’s degree of science in nursing. Mindy attended Ohio University to meet this goal and graduated with her BSN in 2019. At this time, Mindy had been part of the Mary Rutan team for over 10 years, starting in the environmental services department, then moving on to the Mary Rutan Laboratory, and then transitioning to nursing, where she worked on the telemetry floor and in the outpatient department. The majority of her time nursing, however, has been spent in the Mary Rutan Emergency Department as a TNCC Certified Trauma Nurse. Mindy found that she had a passion for working with patients in the Emergency Room and this inspired her to return to school to become a Nurse Practitioner. In 2022, Mindy graduated from Ohio University with her MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is now located at Mary Rutan Family Care in Waynesfield, where she sees primary care patients. She enjoys working in her community and seeing patients every day.

Mindy is married and has two sons that attend Benjamin Logan Schools. Mindy is a huge fan of the Ben Logan Raiders and enjoys cheering on her sons at their many sports matches! When she isn’t working or attending a Ben Logan event, Mindy likes to spend time by her pool with her family and read a good book.
