Occupational Medicine

Mary Rutan's occupational medicine program, Corporate Health Services of Mary Rutan Health Association, has provided occupational services for almost a quarter of a century to local businesses in the Logan County, Ohio and beyond. Whether service is provided at our facility or onsite at your facility, we are a dedicated group of medical professionals working to meet your business needs.

As a full service occupational medicine provider, we work with each client to customize our services to meet your business preferences. Our physicians are board certified and the supporting staff members have multiple certifications; allowing us to collaborate and offer quality medical services and continuity of care to every member of your organization.

We are open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., with walk-in hours for drug screens from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and work-related injuries from 7:30 a.m to 4 p.m. In addition, we work directly with Mary Rutan Hospital Urgent Care and Emergency Department for after-hours services.

    • Onsite Medical Review Officer (MRO).

On-site services

For more than 20 years, Corporate Health Services has been working in this community serving the needs of our business clients both at our facility and travelling to the worksite. It doesn't matter if you have 5 employees or 5,000, we can provide many on-site services to your organization.

Training & education services

Corporate Health Services goal is to ensure that your business is up to date with regulatory requirements related to mandatory training as well as general training regarding relevant current subject matters. We also want to ensure that your employees are knowledgeable when circumstances require administration of life saving techniques whether in the work place or at home.

Courses offered:

  • Reasonable suspicion for supervisors drugs and alcohol.
  • Reasonable suspicion for employees drugs and alcohol.
  • Designated employee representative.
  • Train the trainer.
    • Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) collector training.
    • Breath Alcohol Intoximeter training.
  • Post-accident (is drug testing performed under DOT or non-DOT?).
  • DOT return to duty (following violation of drug and or alcohol regulations).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • CPR, first aid, AED.
  • Blood-borne pathogen training.
  • Medical marijuana.

Drug & alcohol program management services

We provide a comprehensive package for all testing programs and you can rely upon CHS to manage your drug testing program whether it is:

  • DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
    • Clientele currently includes:
      • Federal Motor Carrier Service Administration (FMCSA).
      • Federal Transit Authority (FTA).
      • United States Coastguard (USCG).
      • Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
      • Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA).
  • Drug free Safety Workplace Program (DFSP).
    • Currently recognized as a vendor under the Ohio Bureau of Worker's Compensation.
  • Non-DOT and Non-DFSP testing.

For the DOT and DFSP the following is provided to ensure compliance management and to alleviate your worries; allowing you to focus on business operations:

  • Use of a nationally recognized software system for the random selection of the testing pool of drivers (meeting FMCSA requirements) or employers (meeting DFSP requirements); thus allowing us to manage and maintain the testing pool for the active drivers or employers.
  • Use of a certified SAMHSA laboratory for analysis of the specimen.
  • Use of In-house Medical Review Officer (MRO).
  • Use of the software to perform quarterly random selection of drivers (meeting FMCSA requirements) or employers (meeting DFSP requirements).
  • Confidential maintenance of all drug and alcohol records according to the Federal regulations for the FMCSA and the guidelines for the DFSP.
  • Compliance and audit assistance to support your organization for any questions or concerns.
  • Completion of Management Information System (MIS) reports.

For Non DOT and Non DFSP testing, we provide services according to your policy and request, as well as collection only services.
