Nutritional Counseling

COVID-19 ADVISORY: DO NOT ATTEND AN UPCOMING APPOINTMENT IF YOU HAVE FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS. BE SURE TO CONTACT YOUR PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER FOR A TELEPHONE ASSESSMENT OF YOUR CONDITION.

Eating healthy is a choice—choose health!

Healthy eating is an essential part of preventing and treating many chronic medical problems. A registered dietitian (RD) or a registered dietetic technician (DTR) will work with you to develop a healthy eating plan that is customized to your preferences and lifestyle.

Mary Rutan Hospital offers a variety of nutrition counseling options for both inpatients and outpatients. In the hospital, we will work with your medical team to improve and optimize your nutrition status during recovery from illness or surgery. We will also be available to answer your questions about any special diet needs you may have when you return home.

Additionally, we enjoy serving our community through speaking engagements. We are available to speak to audiences of all ages, and we are happy to tailor a program to a topic of interest for your group.
