Kristen Layman, PT, DPT, AIB-CON, AIB-VR, CKTP, STMT-1, STMT-C is the Outpatient Clinical Coordinator of the Physical Therapy department at Mary Rutan Hospital Therapy & Sports Medicine. She has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2003 in the outpatient environment and has worked at Mary Rutan Hospital Therapy & Sports Medicine since 2004. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree at John Carroll University in 1999, her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy at Andrews University in 2002 and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Creighton University. During her time at MRH, Kristen has assisted in the development of programs including vestibular rehabilitation and pediatric rehabilitation. Kristen is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner/CKTP, and she's a Level 1 STMT-1 and Level C STMT-C Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization practitioner. She completed her concussion certification (AIB-CON) and vestibular certification (AIB-VR) through the American Institute of Balance. Kristen is also certified in Blood Flow Restriction rehabilitation. She enjoys working with the pediatric population, vestibular patients, and orthopedic/sports medicine populations.
