Dr. Gahlawat spent the past four years practicing in Northern Ohio at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center before joining the team at Mary Rutan Hospital.
“I chose to become a physician to help patients and see them get better,” said Dr. Gahlawat. “General surgery is one of the fields in which we obtain instantaneous results and can see the immediate difference we have made in someone’s life. For me, this results in a special feeling and is extremely humbling.”
Mary Rutan Hospital now has three full-time Board-certified general surgeons providing surgical care to our community for not only elective but also emergency surgical needs, which are often not available in rural communities.
“Dr. Gahlawat joins Dr. Anthony Beisler and Dr. Harpreet Brar, our other talented general surgeons, to complete the general surgery team at Mary Rutan Hospital,” said Chad Ross, president and CEO. “We have a highly skilled surgical team, ready to serve the increasing demand for local surgical services.”
