We appreciate the outpouring of interest to provide homemade cloth face masks for our community healthcare partners and professionals who continue to serve vulnerable patients and community members.
While cloth face masks are not to be used in the care of COVID-19 patients, according to CDC, cloth masks are a crisis response option when other supplies have been exhausted. We continue to accept these for our staff, who do not have direct contact with ill patients and other community partners who are in critical need and in settings where face masks are not available or in limited supply.
The CDC offers instructions for sewing, wearing and cleaning cloth face masks here.
Homemade cloth masks may be dropped off at the main entrance of MRH’s Logan View location at 110 Dowell Avenue in Bellefontaine (between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
