
Occupational Therapy is located at the Mary Rutan Hospital Physical Rehabilitation Center and works on the rehabilitation of inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients to maximal functional potential in activities of daily living. Home assessments with appropriate recommendations are provided when ordered by a physician. Fabrication of custom splints for specific upper extremity dysfunctions are completed upon physician referral. The Occupational Therapy Department also participate
s in preventive and community wellness programs. The type of patients typically referred to the Occupational Therapy Department include, although are not limited to, post-orthopedic surgery, neurological insult, work related injuries (both acute and chronic), acute medical conditions, sensory disorders, cardiopulmonary disease, skeletal disorders, cognitive disorders, and work related injuries.
