Walk 106 Million Steps “From The Shoe To The Big House”
MaryRutanHospital employees have been gearing up for the “big game” between OSU and Michigan. As part of a new employee health and wellness challenge, over 250 employees are taking part in the “Steppin’ Out” Challenge, which is an internal contest to see how many employees can walk “From the Shoe to the Big House”. To date the employees have collectively walked over 106 million steps in their efforts to get “From the Shoe to the Big House”.
“The program has been remarkable, says Mike Hoehn, Director of Cardiac Rehab.” “We expected to have approximately 100 people sign up and were thrilled to see over 250 employees take part in the challenge. The remarkable part is that we have seen very little fall out.” The “From the Shoe to the Big House” Steppin’ Out Challenge began on Saturday, August 30th and is a twelve week challenge that will end this Saturday, the day of the big game between OSU and Michigan.
A tailgate cookout is planned to celebrate the finale of the Stepin’ Out “From the Shoe to the Big House” Challenge this Friday, November 21st , and the day has been designated as OSU vs. Michigan Day for all MRH employees to support their “team of choice” by wearing Scarlet and Gray or Maize and Blue.
